Iguanaland Company Celebrates Ecology Month
On Thursday, June 7 the Iguanaland Company launched its first program to reforest the San Ramón region as forty students from the Piedades Sur Agricultural High School (Colegio Técnico Profesional de Piedades Sur) planted 350 native trees on and around the site of the Iguana Tranquila Art Gallery and Land Sales Office. This initial event follows the April announcement of the landmark agreement between the Iguanaland Company and the Tropical Sierra Foundation and is part of a larger joint program called Friends of the Rain Forest.

The historic Casa Cambronero comes back to life as the Iguana Tranquila
For many years, the roads connecting the Central Valley and the Pacific Ocean have served as a life line of Costa Rican commerce. Over that time, whether hauling tobacco by mule, coffee by oxcart, or tourists by bus, there has been one very special place where merchants and travelers could stop and rest, the Casa Cambronero. Presently, the Casa Cambronero, known by many as “Costa Rica’s original rest stop”, is being reborn as the Iguana Tranquila Art Gallery and Land Sales Office.
